This painting was a commission that I recently finished for a good friend of mine. He wrote a 7 page thesis on the concept. Atlas is holding an eye that’s been sutured shut. There is tons of symbolism in this painting and I really had to immerse myself into a dark place to properly get in the mindset for this piece.
